Nice location, but… Positive: Ideal location, literally 1 min to the main church and the port. Negative: I booked Aphrodite, thinking that it would be the room at the ground floor, meaning that it would be more easily accessible given that we had a baby and a pram with us. It was only upon arrival that I realised that the room was a blind one behind Helios. Since the flat had not been cleaned yet, I asked if it was possible to switch to Helios, as there was no booking for it on the day. I was met with a refusal, even though the last boat had left Halki and there would be nobody staying there. Also, despite my numerous requests, we couldn’t have an earlier check in, as our boat arrived at 10:00 and we were to check in at 15:00. I do understand that this is something extra to be asked from the host, but it would be very helpful as we had to walk around the island with a baby less than 1 year old for almost 5 hours. Upon arrival, there was no cot even though we had asked for it and it was confirmed that it would be there. To her credit, the housemaid provided that almost immediately after asking but then again I had to assemble on my own and look online for instructions. The beds were not comfortable at all unfortunately. It was a struggle to go up and down the stairs holding the baby, a problem that wouldn’t be there if we had booked Helios as the structure of the stairs is straighter. And I say this because I saw it as the door of the room was open when we were checking out. Unfortunately I had to do with banging my head on the ceiling as the height of the bedroom is around 1.70m. Overall, the latest trend of some companies owning flats in Halki and small islands results in the guests never meeting with the hosts and dealing with company employees on the phone. I want to stress there that’s it’s not the employee’s fault, but this lack of contact results in these negative comments that wouldn’t be there if the host would see our situation. I’m sure they would be more accommodating.

Great property - if you arent a child, vertically challenged or have mobility issues..!! Positive: Location was great..... Decor was excellent. Negative: Property layout unsuitable for older patrons, especially with mobility or balance issues , and for those with young children because the bathroom was downstairs, and the ceilings were low, which is why there were matresses with no bed frames... Hence why someone like me with knee replacments found it difficult to get up from the bed... From entrance, there were stairs to upper appts, but with no hand rail and little stair width to get cases or luggage up.... not good Health and safety ..!!

Positive: Fab location so close to the port. Negative: Air conditioning tricky to manage. Slow to react, but I got it working properly by night 2.

Sunflowers beauty, spacious and family friendly. Positive: The quiet location. Villa Klytia is spacious, sweet looking and has everything you need. A short walk up a few stairs which was easy for my parents at 70 years old. You are close to everything but far enough to not be bothered by noise. Halki is a must stay.
